If you have ever had to decline a lunch invitation or skip the office potluck or tell your first grader he can't play at a friend's home or isolate your middle child's snacks to prevent an allergy related episode, I get it.
I don't just have one food allergy, though. I have a list: gluten, wheat, rye, barley, corn, corn derivatives (corn starch, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup), peanut, tree nuts, coconut, rice or soy. This means, if I can't see the ingredient list, I have to offer an automatic but polite, "No, thank you."
You can now have your cake (pancakes, waffles, brownie, pizza) and eat it too. So, whether you're gluten-free by force (allergies or sensitivities) or choice (to feel better), you can actually enjoy the taste and appreciate the ingredients.
